Mirriam Ogunja is an award-winning doctoral candidate at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, a media personality, boasting a diverse portfolio that includes work for several prestigious global firms in Kenya and abroad. This diverse experience allows her to seamlessly integrate practical insights into her research and effectively translate academic findings into real-world applications. Her unique blend of experience across academia, government, and industry demonstrates an exceptional ability to navigate varied workplace environments and negotiate solutions with a global mindset. A recognized media personality, she has been featured in various print media, TV, and podcasts across Kenya, Uganda, China, and Japan.
She has received numerous accolades notably; the Best Communication Award issued by Sichuan Living Television Programme 2025 Sichuan Province, 1st price academic achievement 2024 UESTC, Outstanding reviewer of the year 2024 issued by OR Society United Kingdom, 2nd price Academic Achievement 2023, and 2nd price Excellent Performance 2023 just to mention but a few. She has also served in prominent moderation and speaking roles, including as the official moderator for ADICNET AFRICA DAY 2025, a significant event for the African diaspora in China, and as a Guest Speaker for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Asia Pacific Network for People of African Descent in Japan (2023).
